Summer Is Finally Here!

Summer has finally arrived on the Tween Scene and there's a lot that you can do to make your summer fun! Here are some ideas.

• Are you usually bored during the summer? Make a list of ideas for both inside and outside play. You can refer to this sheet on those boring mom-I-have-nothing-to-do days.


• Make a jar filled with paper slips saying things you would like to do this summer. Every week draw a card. Have everyone contribute something and be sure to give everyone in the family a special day where they get to choose everything that goes on.


• Have a pool party celebrating the end of school. Be sure to find pizza and cake. Natural Cheetohs will add a nice and healthy touch too!


• Rock the beach! Be sure to bring a beach volleyball and some diving gear. Even if you don't have any coral reefs where you live, this will be fun for seeing what goes on under the waves, especially in deeper water.


• Make a play! Plays are fun and creative ways to show your talent! Write your own and show what you do best. As an example, Izzy's brother Joshua is an amazing drawer, so in their play he will be the artist!
