Political Wonderings

In November, the election is going to go on. I'm really interested in voting, and I really wish kids could vote. I would vote for Obama if I could because of his stand on drawing troops out from the war. I know other people don't agree, but I don't like McCain. He is so like President Bush, and I don't think he realizes how bad it is to keep this war going. I also don't like Palin. I think she has no experience. Sometimes I wonder, "Why did he pick her?" At least he's trying to say that Obama's a good person now. It was on the news last night. Then, what's all this stuff on Obama being a "terrorist"? He's not even Muslim! His father converted to Christianity before Obama was even born, so Obama's Christian and couldn't be a terrorist. He was also born in Hawaii. Does that mean that the Hawaiians are all "terrorists" too? No!!! Some people even use his middle name, Hussein, to say that he was Muslim. Seriously, in the world of politics it's hard to know who to believe. I believe in Obama. What do you think?

I agree. First of all, he is not Muslim and never was. He was named after his father, a man he met only once in his life. His father had absolutely no influence on him. I think it is sad that a person who has accomplished so much is labeled in such a ridiculous and harsh way. I think people are just making up excuses not to vote for him.

As for Palin... hoo what a joke. She definitely lacks experience.

The Republicans just don't get it. While Obama is securing his base and then trying to convince others to vote for him, McCain and all his followers have not secured his base, and to make matters worse, Republicans are blasting anyone who is of a different opinion. This makes those people mad, and they won't vote for McCain. When *I* run for president, I'll run MY campaign much differently.

By the way.....how much does it cost to get my favorite dog's picture on your blog? His name is Huckleberry, but he also answers to Huckles....Huck....Huckster, and sometimes Boogie (I have no idea where that one came from. One day it just came out of my mouth, and now I use it a lot.)

Bean, you hit the nail on the head with your blog post! Lying about Obama's supposed ties to terrorism does nothing but make McCain and Palin look foolish and desperate.

I'd like to add that the country wants out of a war and wants the world to see us in a better light than in the past 8 years. The Bush/McCain doctrine of aggression and secrecy has not worked. The whole point of a government is to promote peace and to help its people prosper. I can't see that under McCain's leadership.
