Just Movie Talk!

What are your favorite movies? I have many favorites. Pixar makes some very nice animated movies with funny aspects. Wall-E was really good, but not good to see on a regular TV. Everything is so over-the-top bright and there isn't much talking, so it makes you need to focus on the visual aspects of the movie. I'm going to see Harry Potter 6 tommorrow. It's supposed to be really good. All the Harry Potters are on my list of fave movies. How they're going to pull off not rating the seventh R, I don't know. Even the fact that the 6th was PG. Wow! Speaking of Harry Potter this is how I rank them and why.

1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone-

This movie doesn't have the most astounding special effects, but it has Daniel Radcliffe when he was young and cute, and follows the book almost perfectly.

2. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix-

Amazing special effects and Sirius dies, making this one of the best in the Harry Potter movies.

3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban-

Special effects are really good accompanied by Sirius coming back and if I remember correctly Trelawney's prophecy in front of Harry. (creepy)

4. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets-

The best thing about this movie is that the actors are good actors and the how cocky Lockhart is. You also start to see a connection between Ron and Hermione in this movie.

5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire-

They cut so much out of this movie! The best part is in the Graveyard.

School Shopping!

School days are almost back again and it's time to do your school shopping. I've already done mine so I can tell you what you need. For someone going into middle school, you need a really good backpack. Bigger than the one you had last year and a stronger one too. You also need a binder with files for all your subjects and other things that you keep in handy. It would be inviteable to have a seperate homework folder too. You need to stay organized this year! Go to your school website to get your supply lists. Even if it says 'optional' next to a supply, get it. You need to be on the top of your game! Hope you enjoy school shopping!

A Book! Mocking Me? Seeing Truth? The Navy's Daughter?

I am in the middle of writing a book that won't be on shelves. It's just something I want to write. It will either be called Mocking Me, Seeing Truth, or The Navy's Daughter. This book will be featuring two main characters, Leah and Edcliffe Lewis. Their parents are both in the Navy and the children were born in China. They experience much change when they move to a small town in Virginia. Yet, a few weeks into the start of their stay their mom and dad leave to fight in a war including the people of Hawaii. Meanwhile, they leave Leah and Edcliffe behind to combat hurt over their deaths and regular social troubles such as dealing with bullies, boys and girls, and grades. The book is from the eyes of Leah.

This is something that, in my opinion is really cool. It's something called Chocolate Math, and my friends and I still haven't figured out how it does it.

HP5 is AWESOME

Wow! I believe Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix the best out of all the movies so far. Amazingly enough you might have heard very mixed reveiws. My friend lamented to me that it was lame, but the moment I started to watch my eyes were caught on the screen. From dementor and Voldemort attacks to Dolores Umbridge treating everyone like dirt, this movie was by far the best and I am looking forward to the next in its kind. In my opinion the 7th Harry Potter movie (that is to be split into 2 parts) that is still to come should be split and rated like this. The break off, my friend Samuel and I agreed, should be right after Harry, Hermione, and Ron break into Gringotts and are sitting on a beach laughing their heads off. The first half of the movie should be rated PG-13. The problem is that we also agreed that the director could not make the second half of the Harry Potter R, therefore he would be diminishing half of his target audience, kids, just because they could not see the movie. Yet, with all the killing that is going on during that half (Dobby, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Colin Creevy etc.) we wonder if there is some sort of middle point in between PG-13 and R that kids can see. Does anyone know? Oh, and is it just me, or is Harry cuter because he cut his hair?
