LEGOs!

I really love to build legos! They're fun and you can be creative and make your own adventure! My brother trades with the kids across the street, just yesterday he traded a lego rock monster for a rebel trooper. As for me I haven't traded anything lately. I don't have many legos that are all my own so I might trade a smentsil or a barbie for a couple lego girls. My favorite lego, even though I don't have it, is lego Princess Leia. I love the puffs on the side of her head that are her hair. I like her so much that I sometimes curl my friend's hair into balls to make her look like Princess Leia! Though Princess Leia is my favorite, my second favorite is probably Marion from the Indiana Jones lego sets. My favorite part about her is her hair. I love the way that it's pulled back in like a knot at the back of her head with some still hanging down. These are my favorite legos what are yours?

Top Story! Congrats to Obama!

November 4th, Barack Obama became the president elect for our nation. He is both one of the youngest presidents ever recorded and the first black president. Yesterday, he went to visit President Bush at the White House. I think it's a good idea to have someone that young in the White House. Though John McCain might have had more experience, he is so old that some people may wonder about his health. Even though some people thought differently about McCain's ability, that should not stop those people from helping our president. What do you think about Obama? As an example, do you think he is too young to be a president? Send me a comment so I can hear your views!

What is Poptropica?

Have you heard of it? http://www.poptropica.com/ is a totally safe website for kids. Poptropica consists of many different made up islands. In each one, a mystery or problem needs to be solved. For example, on Spy Island you must decode secret messages and solve the mystery of the group B.A.D! Hint: on Spy Island, look on the side of the red brick building. It will give you an answer about how to read File X. The best part, in my opinion, is the costumizer. Just click on the costumizer button on the top of your screen and click on a character that you see. Then you can get the same hair or clothing as that character. It doesn't involve any money or points at all! Just be ready to have fun at Poptropica.com! When you go, tell me what you think about it!

Halloween on the Tween Scene

What are you doing for Halloween? Are you having a party, maybe you're just going out and trick-or-treating. I'm here to give you some tips. A lot of kids make a goal each Halloween, like I'm going to fill my bag up to here or I'm gonna get the most of this type of candy. What I'm saying is, don't do that! If you don't track what and how much you're getting, you may very well get as much candy or more than the people that track their candy amounts. Another tip is to not wear heavy clothing. Sure, October gets a little chilly, but it also gets rainy and muggy. My advice is to be ready for anything. Wear something light that still is in the spirit of Halloween. This is a great place to get costumes for Halloween. It gives you lots of stuff to pick from and I think the prices are decent: http://www.buycostumes.com/?REF=KNC-google&gclid=CIix74L2xZYCFQJHxwodO0tWyA. If you're not satisfied with buycostumes.com, I suggest http://www.target.com/Costumes-Home/b/ref=nav_t_spc_12_13/179-6981494-4909537?ie=UTF8&node=15676801. It also has a good selection. I hope you agree. Tell me what you think!

The Bright Blue Triggerfish: A Webkinz Review

When I decided I wanted a Webkinz, I immediately went for the Bright Blue Triggerfish. It was the first Lil' Kinz that I ever had and a really fun one too. One of the things that really made me want it was the underwater room. I also love the furniture, and of course, I love how the underwater pets go in a bubble when they leave the underwater room. The Bright Blue Triggerfish is my favorite pet. Is there anyone who has the Bright Blue Triggerfish on Webkinz? What part do you like best about having the Bright Blue Triggerfish?

Fashion Segment #1

Fashion is always changing. It seems to depend on what celebrities are wearing. In my opinion, Justice, Just For Girls, is a great place to shop. Here's a link to that website: http://www.shopjustice.com/ The picture on the left is a picture of some lace-up wedge boots that are really in style right now. I really like these boots because of the big puff balls on them. They would probably go best with jeans and a tee shirt. I would love to be the owner of these fantastic boots. Where do you like to shop and why?

A Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)

The Harry Potter series really made me want to read on my own time. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was one of my favorites. It was the final book in the Harry Potter series. It starts, as always, with Harry is in the Dursley's house, but not long after that Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and Dudley leave with a bunch of wizards for their own protection. Harry is transported during the night when no Death Eaters are supposed to know he's going to be transported. However, there is a mistake, and they show up. Voldemort appears, flying. He makes a desperate move to kill Harry, but hits Harry's owl, Hedwig, instead.

Harry eventually gets to where he is safe, but instead of going back to Hogwarts like usual, Harry, Ron, and Hermione decide to quit school. During Bill Weasley and Fluer Delacor's wedding, Death Eaters show up again. Hermione apparates them to a town, but when they go into a coffee shop, two Death Eaters are there. Harry, Ron, and Hermione manage to stun them all with their wands.

After leaving the coffee shop, Hermione apparates them to a forest. Then, she and Ron get into a fight, and Ron leaves them. After that, Harry decides he wants to go to his parents graves in Godric's Hollow. When he goes there, he finds a woman named Bathilda Bagshot. Thinking she is a fellow wizard, Harry and Hermione follow Bathilda into her house. When they are in her bedroom, she hands them one of the Deathly Hallows, a locket with a chain. The Deathly Hallows are things that need to be destroyed before they can kill Voldemort. Voldemort put pieces of his soul in objects so he can never die.) Then all of a sudden a snake bursts out of her chest. It is Voldemort's snake, Nagini. Nagini calls Voldemort to appear, but he does not come soon enough to prevent Nagini from tearing open Harry's shoulder. Harry and Hermione jump out the window into the night, and Harry passes out. While passed out, he remembers every single detail of the night his parents died perfectly, from Voldemort's perspective.

The next day Harry is on night watch while Hermione is asleep and sees a patronus of a doe. He follows the doe to a small pool and inside the pool he sees the glinting handle of the sword of Godric Gryffindor. He takes off all his clothes and dives in, not thinking about the locket he still has on. The locket uses it's magical power to try to drown him, when Ron dives down and picks him up out of the water. Harry is as much surprised to see Ron as Ron is to see him drowning in the pool. Ron pierces the locket with the sword, and one of the Deathly Hallows is vanquished.

This is the very first part of the story, but I don't want to ruin the book for you. You've got to read the book. This is really the best book. I was very amazed when I read this story because of the author's writing style. It feels like you're inside the story. It seems like you can picture every single word that you read. I find sometimes that I wish it was real. It seems like such an enjoyable world to live in. Sure there are Death Eaters and people trying to kill you, but you have magic and that's all that matters for me!

Political Wonderings

In November, the election is going to go on. I'm really interested in voting, and I really wish kids could vote. I would vote for Obama if I could because of his stand on drawing troops out from the war. I know other people don't agree, but I don't like McCain. He is so like President Bush, and I don't think he realizes how bad it is to keep this war going. I also don't like Palin. I think she has no experience. Sometimes I wonder, "Why did he pick her?" At least he's trying to say that Obama's a good person now. It was on the news last night. Then, what's all this stuff on Obama being a "terrorist"? He's not even Muslim! His father converted to Christianity before Obama was even born, so Obama's Christian and couldn't be a terrorist. He was also born in Hawaii. Does that mean that the Hawaiians are all "terrorists" too? No!!! Some people even use his middle name, Hussein, to say that he was Muslim. Seriously, in the world of politics it's hard to know who to believe. I believe in Obama. What do you think?
